After one year of the Vision Action Plan implementation, Envision Bend engaged key leadership partners to prioritize the 28 strategies in the Vision Action Plan.

Why? The purpose of the Vision Strategy Priority Report is to help drive informed focus to the Vision Action Plan developed by Envision Bend in partnership with the Bend community and leaders.

The release of greater Bend’s five-year Vision Action Plan culminates an 17-month process that gained input from more than 3,500 participants through interviews, focus groups, polls, surveys, and community summit. The four Vision Action Teams built upon this foundation of input to craft 28 actionable strategies over the next 5 years.

This report provides the results and findings of an online community poll conducted by Envision Bend and its Bend Vision Project in February and March 2023. The poll gave respondents a series of potential strategies originally suggested by the community and intended to ensure Bend remains livable in the future, and then asked respondents to choose which strategies are the highest priority for the community.

This report is from 17 months of interviews, surveys, and focus groups that directly shaped the creation of the Vision Action Plan. The feedback provided an in-depth look at how community members view the greater Bend area as it navigated out of the pandemic and crafts its next chapter, still today.

It tells of the changes that have been taking place in recent times, the challenges that residents see for both themselves and the community at-large, and their hopes and aspirations for the future.
