HumanHub Project

Understanding gaps and needs to co-create a big idea to increase our experience of belonging in Central Oregon (Fall/Winter 2024-2025)

Purpose:

Envision Bend and Embrace Bend are working to understand current gaps and efforts to increase the experience of belonging in Central Oregon. The HumanHub Project aims to gather insights, share resources, and identify collaborative opportunities to enhance Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) across greater Bend.

Objectives:

  • Define Belonging: Establish a common language and tenets around belonging.

  • Gap Analysis: Understand local partner needs, current initiatives, available resources, challenges, and opportunities in DEIB

  • Identify Collaboration: Spot opportunities for cross-organization partnerships and outline visionary collective actions to help move the needle in our region.

End Goal: A cross-organizational roadmap of activities and initiatives to build the experience of belonging community-wide

Project Timeline:

September – January: 1:1 Interviews
Engage with individual organizations to understand their DEIB efforts, needs, and resources.

January: Collective Group Meeting
Bring together partners to discuss findings, share insights, identify common themes and the collective big ideas

November – February: Development Phase
Create an alliance of belonging partners to collaboratively define goals, parameters, and identify early-stage projects.

Feb-July 2025: Implementation Planning
Develop a detailed roadmap, including project timelines, budgeting, and resource allocation.
