Matt Transitioning from Envision Bend
Dear Community Partners,
We have some big news to share.
After 2.5 years of dedicated service, Matt Muchna will be stepping down as Executive Director of Envision Bend at the end of May. While we are sad to see him leave this role, we’re excited that he’s staying close—Matt will be joining the High Desert Museum in a new position as the Schnitzer High Desert Awards Director.
Under Matt’s leadership, Envision Bend completed and launched the Vision Action Plan 2024-2028, expanded community engagement around our shared vision, and established new community partnerships. We are deeply grateful for his leadership, heart, and commitment to creating a more connected and visionary Central Oregon.
Our Board of Directors has begun a thoughtful transition process, starting with a search to identify an Interim Executive Director to serve over the next 3-6 months. While any transition brings some uncertainty, Envision Bend/Bend 2030 has been a steadfast leader in the community for 20 years. We look forward to our next chapter of growth and are confident that the Board of Directors, Strategic Advisors, and dedicated Leadership Alliance partners will continue guiding Envision Bend and our community’s vision forward.
